These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SCL software and the shortcut-linking.com website, operated by ShortCut Linking, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”, “us”).

1. The service

SCL is desktop software that organises, searches and analyses documents stored on your own device. The free tier includes all core features and requires no account. Paid offerings are described on the pricing page.

2. Your content

Your documents remain on your device and remain yours. We claim no rights in your files, your annotations, or the outputs generated on your machine.

3. Payments, trials and renewals

Paid features may include a 14-day trial. We state clearly, before any charge, what will be charged and when; we send reminders before a trial converts; cancellation is available in one click. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Use of the software is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The software is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

6. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.
